A New Beginning follows Amelia as she returns home to San Francisco to resume life while trying to build on her connection with Padraig. She’s determined to be smart about this new development in her love life, unlike last time.

Things start well. She settles back into work and friends and cherishes phone calls and emails with Padraig. Doubts creep back in, however, helped by a long-time friend who challenges her resolve and Gwynn’s renewed advances toward Padraig (and his refusal to rebuff them).

With a new cast of characters giving her advice, she tries to navigate this long-distance relationship and hopes to ultimately answer the question: Can love really grow across the seas?
